resource types

resource types: Classes of resources, such as print spooler, physical disk, and file share, organized by the server cluster. Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition, and Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition, provide Resource DLL files for the most common types of resources. Using the application programming interface (API) provided in the Microsoft Platform Software Development Kit (SDK), other vendors can add support for other resource types.
