DHCP class identifier

DHCP class identifier: A special reserved option type used by DHCP clients to optionally identify membership in a specific DHCP option class, either a vendor or user class. For vendor class identification, hardware vendors can choose to predefine specific identifier values; for example, to identify a client's hardware configuration. For user class identification, values can be defined administratively to identify a logical group of DHCP clients, such as all clients in a particular building and floor location.
